Counseling
Hello, wonderful families of Hollywood Hill Elementary!
As your student's School Counselor, I am happy to be a resource and partner in helping them grow emotionally, socially, and academically. Using a positive, solutions-focused, and empathetic approach, I hope to provide a safe and caring space where students feel understood, uplifted, and empowered. Whether through short-term individual counseling, small groups, or classroom guidance lessons, I aim to equip students with essential tools, behaviors, and mindsets to help them navigate life's challenges and follow their dreams. Students can self-refer, guardians can refer, or any school staff can refer students to meet with me.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Community Psychology at the University of Washington and my master's degree in Education for School Counseling at Seattle Pacific University. Please feel free to contact me at hazadmanesh@nsd.org or (425) 408-4722 to learn more about the counseling services available to all students at Hollywood Hill Elementary.
I am here to support our entire Hollywood Hill community!
I work alongside teachers, staff, caregivers, and parents to help all of our Stars develop socially, emotionally, and academically through consultation and collaboration. I also provide classroom guidance lessons, small groups, and short-term individual counseling services.
Classroom Guidance Lessons
Students in grades K-5 receive robust SEL Second Step lessons from their classroom teachers. School counselors also teach Second Step Bullying Prevention in 3-5 classrooms and Kelso's Choices curriculum in K-2. School counselors also deliver lessons on social, emotional, and learning skills to help students develop important behaviors and mindsets.
Kelso's Choices
Kelso's Choice Conflict Management is a curriculum designed to give students specific tools to help them resolve conflicts and thrive socially.
Second Step
Second Step focuses on important skills that students need such as skills for learning, empathy, emotional management and problem-solving.
Small Groups
Your student may be invited to participate in group counseling. Small groups provide a great opportunity for students to practice and grow their skills! The focus of groups varies based on need, but common elementary themes include friendship, emotional regulation, and impulse control.
Individual Counseling
Individual, short-term, solution-focused counseling is provided as needed. Students can self-refer, guardians can refer, or any school staff can refer a student to me. For ongoing, long-term issues or struggles, I will always recommend and refer your child to outside counseling for more in-depth support and licensed treatment.
