The new Parent2Parent Network.

The new Parent2Parent Network.

The Northshore School District has created a group of volunteers to help promote collaboration and two-way communication as they work to assist parents and guardians with general technology needs. This group is called the “Parent2Parent Network."

We have three parents who have volunteered to help out; Heidi McGill, Heidi Young, and Dan Young will be our Parent2Parent representatives at Hollywood Hill Elementary. Their job will be to act as a conduit to and from the NSD Technology Department.  They will relay information about services and resources to support families in their use of Clever, Schoology and Zoom.  They will also raise awareness to the Tech Department of common problems families of Hollywood Hill are having. They can also work to find resources to answer your questions and connect you with someone who can help. If the problem warrants it, they can escalate an issue with the Tech Department for resolution.

If you have urgent issues, need tech "walkthroughs" or "How To's", help troubleshooting district distributed laptops, hotspots or things like this, remember that we have a dedicated School Technology Specialist, Ruchi Bains (rbains@nsd.org), that can help you out! Heidi, Heidi, and Dan’s role is mostly a liaison role helping to communicate needs and issues to the Tech Department from our families.
