Greeting: As parents arrive at the reunification site, greeters explain the process and distribute Reunification Cards.
Parents Fill out Card: Parents complete the information requested on the card, and begin to self-sort into lines.
Checkers Verify ID: Parent custody is verified. The card is torn on the perforation and the bottom is returned to the parent. The top is given to the Accountant.
Reunification Area: At the Reunification Area, parents give the bottom of the card to a Reunifier. The Reunifier goes to the Assembly Area to get the student.
Student Reunification: The Reunifier returns the student to their parents asking the student if they feel comfortable leaving with that adult. They note the time and initial the bottom of the card.
Accountability: The Reunifier delivers the bottom of the card to the Student Assembly Accountant. The Accountant may start sorting the cards.
Families arrive at school, probably from the front and back gates.
There will be staff at both gates of school. Students wait for parents on the field.
A greeter deescalates by showing families the table with the "Reunification Information" card to fill out. (Sign with #1)
Area #1 - Greeting Area and Reunification Information: Tables will be at the West end by the library door and by the East walking gate. Parents will fill out form completely.
Area #2 - As parents arrive at the reunificaion site the reunifiers distribute the Reunification Cards to families. After the form is completed, greeters will guide parents to the Checkers.
Families report to check-in desk with completed card. (#2 sign)
At check-in desk, families must show a piece of identification ( all kinds accepted!). If parents are asking to take other students, they must be listed as their emergency contact or it is not permitted.
Parents will need to receive a "complete" stamp to move on to the next station indicating they can take the students on their list.
Parents are then sent to the reunification area with the bottom of the card. (#3 sign)
