Where I've studied:
I received my undergraduate degree in Special Education from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA (Go Dawgs!). I went on to get my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA.
Where I've worked:
This is my 10th year teaching. I have taught special education in various public and private school settings between Watkinsville, GA, Atlanta, GA and Wellesley, MA.
Where I'm from:
I am originally from Atlanta, GA and that is the area I claim as "home." And no, I do not have a southern accent because my parents were originally from Pittsburgh and Vermont! I lived in Atlanta until I went to Athens, GA for college and then returned back to Atlanta after my first teaching job. My husband, Nick, and I moved to Boston, MA for Nick to go to graduate school. We loved our time in Boston where public transportation is prevalant, Fall is beyond beautiful, and Winter is long! We moved to Seattle last year and we exploring this beautiful part of the country.
What are my hobbies:
I enjoy hiking, reading, crafting, and doing yoga. My husband and I enjoy traveling whenever we have the chance. We spent last summer doing an "Around the World" trip and traveled from London to Portugal to Thailand to Bali and then ended our trip in Australia and New Zealand.
